This Privacy Policy explains how the Office of Viren Sibal (“the Office”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us through it.
01Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact form and consultation requests — your name, email address, phone number, subject, type of matter, message and, for consultations, your preferred date and time.
- Internship applications — your name, date of birth, gender, contact details, current and permanent address, academic details, skills, languages, availability, previous internships and the details of any reference you name. Please name a reference only with their consent.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Third-party content: updates on the News page are embedded from LinkedIn, and website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When these load, LinkedIn and Google may receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.
02How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To consider internship applications.
- To keep appropriate records and meet our legal and professional obligations.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing.
04Confidential information
Please do not send confidential or sensitive details of a legal matter through this website. Contacting us through the website does not create an advocate–client relationship — see our Terms of Service. We will tell you how to share documents securely once we are able to act for you.
05How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or for longer where the law requires. Internship applications are kept for as long as needed to consider them and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
06Security
We follow reasonable security practices to protect personal information, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw any consent you have given, subject to applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force. Write to us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
